Below, you will find some useful information to these questions. Find out how to do a rough calculation of your translation costs, how to send me your order request and about the details of my quote to you.

Hourly rates for full and post light editing of machine translations:

• Translation: 0.09 euros / word
• Correction: 0.03 euros / word
• Editing: 0.05 euros / word
• TE: 0.11 euros / word
• TEP: 0.12 euros / word
• Certified translation: 1.75 euros / line (55 characters)

Prices pursuant to Judicial Remuneration and Compensation Act (JVEG):

• Localization: 49 euros / hour
• Quality tests: 41 euros / hour
• Language services: 60 euros / hour
• Project management: 35, - Euro / hour (minimum)
• MT full post editing: 39.00 euros / hour
• MT-Light-Postiting: 35.00 euros / hour

Explanations:

• Editing: Text will not only be translated but rephrased and honed to address intended target group and use purpose.
• Quality control: A second linguist will be used for a quality check of the translation (two-man rule).
• TE: translation and editing.
• TEP: translation, editing and quality control.
• Certified translation: Edited translation which is certified by me with a stamp and a declaration that the translation is true and complete to the best of my knowledge.
• Localization: Text and images will be adapted to fit language and culture of the country in which the document will be published.
• Light post-editing of machine translations (MT): MTs are edited inexpensively to ensure that they are understandable.
• Full post-editing by MT: MTs are edited in such a way that they cannot be distinguished from a professional human translation are.

All my work and services comply with the current standards of the translation and interpreting conventions, such as the
ISO standard DIN EN ISO 17100.
